About KIA “Muscle Car” Stinger And Upcoming KIA Rio GT-Line Hatchback

KIA is last name one would expect to go all out about performance, but here it is, the company’s image of performance is forever imprint with the much lauded and I dare say, most anticipated, “muscle car,” Stinger. When we first saw the concept last year, we were did not think it will make it to production, but it clearly did. I know. I may be late on this, but still, it will be a sin not to mention this monster machine from the South Korean car maker. The thing is, there are not rules in naming a car, but to have a car with a moniker like ‘Stinger’, it has an unspoken expectations Continue reading About KIA “Muscle Car” Stinger And Upcoming KIA Rio GT-Line Hatchback

KIA’s X-Men-inspired Sportage Will Help Rafael Nadal Take On Apocalypse

If you recall, KIA had a Wolverine-inspired Sorento earlier this year to promote X-Men: Days of Future Past release on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD and to mark the company’s sponsorship of the Australian Open 2015. 2016 will be no different. But for 2016, Sportage is the model of choice to be dressed up as the second generation X-Car to promote the new X-Men movie, X-Men: Apocalypse that’s due to hit the theaters May 27, 2016. This time round, KIA’s ride is inspired by the infamous shape-shifter, Mystique and features custom-designed bodywork with special textured ‘tone-on-tone’ matte and gloss blue paint finish that mimics Mystique skin tone. KIA’s Bold Concept Provides a Glimpse into KIA’s Future Design Language

Unless you have a chauffeur or takes public transport, commutes between work and home, and anything in between, can be hardly called “rejuvenating”, but that does not deter KIA from proposing that its concept car, Novo, can “establish a calming, focused environment in which drivers can refresh and rejuvenate as they transition from one life commitment to the next.” People, looks like we are witnessing the world’s first Zen car here, or at least we think it sounds pretty Zen anyways. Rejuvenating or not, we can’t say for sure, but one thing for sure is, this car is the boldest concept yet from the South Korean car maker and like it or not, it is the design language we will be seeing in KIA Motor’s next-generation compact vehicles. KIA GT4 Stinger Concept

coupe is no stranger to KIA, but the Koup hardly has the sports car look (it is just a two-door car and that’s that) and that’s not to mention the pretty standard performance you get with most KIA’s rides. that leaves the Korean automaker a void to fill by the KIA GT4 Stinger Concept you see here. sporting a ‘traditional’ sports car styling with long bonnet and short deck (or a wedge-shape design, if you prefer), this 2+2 sports car is powered by a proven 2.0-liter turbocharged T-GDI four-cylinder petrol unit (as used in the Optima), tuned to put out a healthy 315 horsepower, and mated to a close-ration six-speed manual transmission that sends those raw power to its big, fat rear wheels. speaking wheels, the Stinger sits on custom 20-inch aluminum center-lock wheels (!) with carbon fiber inserts, wrapped in 275/35R-20 Pirelli P-Zero performance rubbers for the rear and 235/35R-20 items up front. 2015 KIA K900 Luxury Sedan

there are two things you don’t usually associate with KIA Motors: one, luxury and two, rear wheel drive, but that’s until now. meet the 2015 KIA K900 Luxury Sedan, the new flagship from the Korean automaker that has it sight aim squarely at the luxury sedan segment and it is rear wheel driven. rear wheel drive is hardly a forte of Korean automakers and the same goes to luxury. i, for one, never view any Korean ride as luxury, sporty yes, but never luxury and with respect to a car, to me, a real car is marked by left-hand drive and rear-wheel driven, and i guess i could say we finally see a real car coming from KIA. aesthetically, the K900 is a pretty handsome and has a somewhat Jaguar-ish front end and a Lexus-cross-Beemer rear end, and a very BMW-isque silhouette. 2013 KIA Niro Concept

judging from the number of crossover concepts we have seen recently, we have reasons to believe the future of automobile looks to be heading off the road. KIA Motors Europe’s 2013 KIA Niro Concept, unwrapped at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show, is just one such example and we must say it was really quite a head turner too. designed for the European market, the KIA Niro Concept is a product of KIA’s Frankfurt design studio, designed under the direction of KIA Chief Designer Europe, Gregory Guillaume and is the Korean automaker’s perspective of what holds for the future of European B-segment vehicles. Superman KIA Optima Hybrid Sedan

even if Superman did have a four-wheeled ride, it wouldn’t be a regular sedan but for the rest of the mortals (or in this instant, earthlings), the Superman KIA Optima Hybrid Sedan, should be enough to show your undying love for the Man of Steel. unveiled at the recent 2013 Chicago Auto Show, this superhero-inspired ride is the sixth of the eight Justice League themed vehicles turned out by collaboration between the Korean automaker and the comic book company. unlike its superhero counterpart, this Superman KIA Optima Hybrid does not wield any unworldly power and its innards, specifically the drivetrain, remains pretty much untouched.
