Ever wanted to cut your own vinyl record, or at least do a, well, mixed record? If so, the Teenage Engineering PO-08 Factory Record Kit is the gadget that will let you do just that.
With the Teenage Engineering PO-08 Factory Record Kit, you can now cut your own 5” vinyl records and when you are done, you can switch to playback mode to enjoy your favorite tunes in the purest ultra lo-fi analog sound pumped out through its onboard speakers.
Thanks to its compact form factor, you can cut records anywhere. All you need is to plug in any audio device to the 3.5 mm audio input and let the engraving begins. You can also use the same 3.5 mm port to hook it up to an external speaker.
This unique record cutter/turntable is the result of a collaboration with Yuri Suzuki and it bears the usual whimsical charm of the Swedish electronics company.
As the name suggests, the PO-08 is a kit which means assembly is required. The kit includes everything you need to put the machine together, including the needle, the disks, and whatnot.
Oh, it will also work with the Pocket Operator family, allowing you to compose a song on any PO, plug it into this little guy and you are cutting your very own vinyl record:

Unfortunately, this US$149 device appears to be sold out. The device was revealed just last week.
