this is one concept lamp design from industrial design student Steffi Min that literally let you quite screwing around the bulb. styled in an oversized clothespin or clothes peg, the Peg uses the clamping action of the clothes peg to hold on to the bulb and the electrical contacts at its clamping end transmit the power needed to light up the bulb. i guess there’s no need to further elaborate on its ‘how to’ cos’ it’s a pretty self explanatory design. ingenious.

a lighting quick way to change a light bulb, not that screwing in a bulb takes up a whole lot of time but i love the simplicity and plus the fact that i’m intrigued by oversized everyday items. Steffi Min created this as part of her Industrial Design senior thesis. i’m not sure what she is driving at with this concept but i’d give it a five stars. since it is a thesis project, so it safe to assume that you won’t be able to buy one. at least for now.
