Paul the Octopus may be mingling with Octopus-angels right now, but if you’re still awe by his Nostradamus-prediction skill for World Cup, then The Octopus Chair by Spaniard artist Maximo Riera might just awe you as well. well, maybe not on the prediction part. from design to manufacturing, this awesome piece of furniture involved at least 30 professionals and four companies whom machined, assembled, glued, sanded and painted by hand. i guess that makes this a made-by-hand furniture.

this limited edition chair is part of Maximo Riera’s Animal Chair collection which will features more than 15 works inspired by, none other than, animals – mammals included. while Davy Jones might not have heard of Paul the Octopus, but i bet he would love to have one of this on his ship. unfortunately, you can’t really get one just yet as there’s no word on its pricing and availability but i’m guessing such intricate art won’t come cheap.
