If you are interested in mining Bitcoin but dunno how and you happen to need a heater to keep you warm and toasty, well then Heatbit will have you covered. Heatbit is an electric heater that’s good for warming up to 500 square feet of space and does it quietly and quickly.
Interestingly, Heatbit uses silicon chips as the heating element as well as runs complex calculations – up to 14 trillion calculations per second according to Heatbit – for mining Bitcoin while producing heat. Heatbit says the heater generates 1,400 W of heat with 1,400 W of electricity like regular electric-powered heaters but with the bonus of mining Bitcoins.
It is not clear if the digital money you earn will be enough to offset the course of powering it. In any case, it is the world’s first electric heater that mines Bitcoin too. Having said that, there is no question of its function as a heater. It is just the question of how well it does it.
The Bitcoin mining, on the other hand… well, I can’t say for sure. I have not mined Bitcoin with regular computers, let alone with a heater.
In any case, if you are interested, you will have to have a fat wallet to be able to afford one because this heater does not come cheap. It will set you back at a cool US$1,199 – which in heater terms is astronomical.
