The robot vacuum is a godsend for people too busy to handle the mundane task of cleaning the floor. Then the robot vacuum with mopping capability appeared to relieve even more of the housekeeping chores. But that is not the end. Soon, we have self-emptying and self-cleaning robot vacuums. The eufy S1 Pro Floor Washing Robot Vacuum with an all-in-one station you see here is one such modern example of how far robot vacuum has come.
If self-emptying and self-cleaning – complete with a disinfecting process – aren’t enough, this little guy also auto tops up the floor washing detergent. Folks, this is the next evolution of automatic floor cleaning. The device is composed of two major components: the robot vacuum and the all-in-one station.
The powerful 8,000 Pa suction vacuum is bolstered by a roller mop that spins at 170 RPM to effectively remove any stray dirt on the floor. Like the Mach V1 Ultra, any dirt picked up by the roller is scrubbed into the dirty water tank and immediately after, it is treated to clean water to continue the cleaning cycle. This beats manual mopping which you’d be using dirty water.
The roller further boasts an auto lift that retracts it into the body when it detects the edge of carpets. The roller is also the longest mop ever on a robot vacuum, measuring 290 mm (11.4 inches).
The system also touts a built-in ozone sanitization that eliminates up to 99.99% of germs, along with auto washing, auto drying, auto refilling, auto detergent dispensing, and auto dirty water collection – thus allowing for minimal intervention from you during the entire cleaning process.
When it comes to changing the water tanks, eufy makes it slightly more tolerable too. The all-in-one station is intentionally designed to be tall, thus allowing changing the water tanks without bending down, well, at least for a typical grown person’s height that is. The touch control is conveniently located on top too. But you can also use the app on your phone to control the device.
Like the stair-climbing robot vacuum, the eufy S1 Pro also adopts a square design. However, it has rounded corners that would allow it to reach within 1 cm (0.4 inches) of corners. Moreover, it has a 96 mm (about 3.8 inches) low profile body with a hidden LIDAR that allows for cleaning under low furniture.
Speaking of LiDAR, it is part of the device’s 3D MatrixEye System that is touted as the most advanced navigation system in a robot vacuum. So advanced that it even knows to avoid stray socks and errand cables.
This robot vacuum promises a self-driving car level of obstacle avoidance by constructing 3D models of obstacles which will allow it to avoid objects of varying shapes and sizes – even moving objects such as pets and you.
For those who want to get all geeky, eufy S1 Pro receives 300,000 voxels 8 times per second which enables it to achieve its ultra-precise obstacle identification.
The eufy S1 Pro Floor Washing Robot Vacuum with all-in-one station is truly high-tech equipment and as such, it does not come cheap.
