There’s a new Toy Story movie. I know. I had no idea either until Porsche announced a collaboration with the animated franchise. Anyhoo, I always thought a Porsche tie-in would make more sense for Cars—which, to be fair, it already did with the Sally Special. But here we are anyway, with a trio of Toy Story-themed 911s that are both appealing to fans and cruelly out of reach because they are one-offs.
To mark the arrival of Toy Story 5, Porsche’s Sonderwunsch department has transformed three 911s into rolling tributes to Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie. All three are one-offs and will eventually be sold as part of a charitable initiative benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross, and Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Buzz Lightyear gets arguably the most fitting ride: a 911 GT3 RS with the Weissach Package. Painted in white with green and purple accents, the track weapon even wears “Lightyear” tires and carries the Space Ranger logo on its wheel center caps. Inside, “To Infinity and Beyond” illuminates the door sills because subtlety clearly left the launch pad.
Jessie inspires a 532-horsepower 911 Targa 4 GTS. Her signature colors show up everywhere, from the red Targa roof mimicking her hat to the denim-inspired upholstery and “YEE HAW!” welcome message.
Meanwhile, Woody’s 911 Carrera T looks like it spent years riding around in Andy’s toy box. Porsche developed a special denim-inspired paint with visible texture, paired with vintage brown leather and red checkered patterns. Even the illuminated door sills invite you to “Ride Like the Wind!”
The three unique 911s made their debut on the red carpet at the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles. Which is fitting. After all, these cars are stars too. Just with a little more horsepower than Buzz and Woody ever had.
