Vivo iQOO Pro 5G Smartphone

Vivo is perhaps one of the most fervent handset maker striving for true edge-to-edge display. However, its latest handset, the iQOO Pro, has nothing to do about ditching the notch, though. It is all about speed, specifically network speed. The China handset maker has revealed the new handset yesterday (or today, depending on where you are located) in a reveal event in China.

It would be just another handset reveal which should have missed, but the iQOO Pro caught attention with a 5G variant. With the iQOO Pro 5G, Vivo becomes the latest handset to support the super fast 5G network and it is also the most affordable, or so we heard. More on that in a jiffy. It shouldn’t come as a surprise though since Vivo has showed off a 5G concept smartphone earlier this year.

Vivo iQOO Pro 5G Smartphone

Anywho, unlike the handful of 5G handsets we have heard so far, Vivo iQOO Pro 5G will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ Mobile Platform which, TBH, is a strange choice because, the plus is actually tuned, so to speak, for gaming and the iQOO Pro isn’t quite marketed as such. In any case, I guess there’s no harm having a handset that is fast in both download speeds and performed in gaming too.
