Volkswagen is hardly a brand that is known for pickup trucks, but they do make them anyway and it is called the Amarok. however, the version you see here is a souped up version, known as the Volkswagen Amarok R-Style Concept Pickup Truck which was unveiled at the 2013 Wörthersee Tour tuning event in Austria. the concept pickup truck features a uprated 3.0-liter V6 TDI turbodiesel that puts out 270 horsepower (about 201 kW) with 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque on the tap, which afford this workhorse to rocket from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under eight seconds. in case its improved performance is not immediately noticeable, it has the aesthetic to ensure that no one will mistake it for ‘just another Amarok’. these cosmetics include massive 22-inch alloy wheels, slammed suspension, a striking wide-body kit, a chunky sports bar across the back of the cab, LED headlamps, and generous amount of carbon fiber accents to boot. by the look of it, it is a truck that any truck aficionados will appreciate. since it is a concept, it will be anyone’s guess whether it will actually make it into production. so what do you think of this concept pickup truck? would it be a ride you would dig?
