Volkswagen ID.7 Electric Vehicle

Volkswagen ID. AERO Concept Car has now been officially revealed as Volkswagen ID.7. The ID.7 is the first all-electric Volkswagen for the upper mid-size class and the first VW fully-electric sedan. It is the first MEB (modular electric drive matrix) model with a completely new, high-efficient drive generation delivering 210 kW (286 PS or about 282 hp).

This most powerful and highest-torque electric drive motor in a VW ID. model to date is paired with a battery system with charging capacities of up to around 200 kW and a WLTP range of up to 700 km (435 miles). Though the exact spec of the battery system has not been revealed yet.

The vehicle is nearly 5 meters (16.4 feet) long and with a long wheelbase and short overhangs, it has plenty of interior space.

Meanwhile, the exterior is designed based on aerodynamic principles and it rocks a coupé sloping rear that contributed to a drag coefficient of around 0.23 Cd.

It is also the first VW automobile with a new display and operating concept featuring a 38-cm (15-inch) infotainment system screen, an augmented reality head-up display, a new air-conditioning operating concept integrated on the top level of the infotainment system, freely assignable favorites buttons, and a backlit touch slider.

In addition, it is offered with a bunch of options, including new massage seats with the German Campaign for Healthier Backs (AGR) seal of approval, an electronically dimmable panoramic sunroof with support for natural voice commands, a 700-watt 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and adaptive seat Climatronic with cooling, heating as required and also a dry function.

The new Volkswagen ID.7 fully electric sedan is one of the ten new electric models that will be launched by VW by 2026. So far, this year has seen the introduction of the new ID.3, the ID. Buzz with a long wheelbase, and now, the ID.7

Also in the pipeline for 2026 includes an electric compact SUV and the production version of the ID.2 – both of which will price at less than 25,000 euros (about US$27,400).
