So, you think your feet are not getting the attention they deserve? But if you slip on a pair of Women’s Air Force 1 with Swarovski Retroreflective Crystals, I am pretty sure all eyes will be on your feet. Oh, that’s, of course, you are a lady.
The Nike Women’s Air Force 1 with Swarovski retroreflective crystals are offered in two colorways: white, called Triple White, and black, called Triple Black.
Each pair of bling-bling kicks is covered in over 228 individual unfaceted retroreflective Swarovski crystals created exclusively for Nike. Apparently, the actual item is super bright and the luminosity also serves as an awareness.
Well, a very expensive awareness, that is because the Nike Women’s Air Force 1 with Swarovski Retroreflective Crystals commands a hefty US$450 a pair.
Interestingly, the 200 plus crystals are not a random number. The design is, believe it or not, inspired by road reflectors. The measured light reflection of the crystals across this Air Force 1 return light, thus allowing visibility on dark roads, just like the road reflectors. So, you are basically kicking around with very expensive road reflectors.
But the spotlight is not only the crystals; the shiny stones are held in by a modular 4-piece shroud, which you can customize by using the included mini screwdriver studded with a Swarovski crystal.
I have to admit. The blinged AF1 looks fantastic. Unfortunately, at the time of this post, both models have been snapped up. That was pretty quick since the shoes did not go on sale until December 02, 2021.
