need a beautiful ride that has both the power and practicality? well, Jaguar has one for you: the 2014 Jaguar XFR-S, build on the acclaimed XFR, the XFR-S is powered by the same 5.0-liter supercharged V8 petrol unit found in the XKR-S that pumps out 550PS (542 hp or 405 kW) and 680Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque – a 40PS and 55Nm bump from the XFR’s, while still maintaining the same fuel consumption and emissions. coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox with Jaguar’s ‘Quickshift’ technology, the XFR-S rockets from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph), making it the British automaker’s fastest and most powerful sports sedan to date. and it certainly has the look to match too – thanks to the enhanced aerodynamic bits that includes deeper front bumper with larger lower air intakes, vertical vanes, deeper sills, unique ‘aero-blades’, deeper rear bumper sides and a boot lid mounted spoiler. other highlights include a comprehensive front and rear suspension upgrades with lateral stiffness going up by 30%, re-calibrated electronic active differential and Dynamic Stability Control systems and new, wider 20-inch ‘Varuna’ six-spoke forged alloy wheels, wrapped in specially developed Pirelli rubbers. on the inside, carbon leather and contrasting highlight micro-piping and stitching takes center stage, along with dark aluminum fascia and a 380W, 12-speaker surround sound system hailed from Brit audiophile equipment maker, Meridian. no word on its availability for the rest of the world but Stateside has been allotted with just 100 units, to be available next year Summer with a price tag starting from $99,000.
