The recently announced all-electric G-Class has not been announced for North America yet but you can secure a unit for December delivery now—well, in 1:64 scale, that is. Celebrating the first-ever electric G-Wagon, Matchbox has launched the die-cast collectible of the electric, off-roading SUV, the Matchbox Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology.
Part of the Matchbox Collectors series, the new 1:64 scale Mercedes-Benz G 5780 is a premium die-cast car that also pays homage to the environment-friendly nature of the newly launched SUV in real life; it is crafted with 99.5% recycled metal and boasts a minimum of 81% ISCC-certified plastic (mass balance approach). So, I guess this miniature version of the electric G-Wagon is green in its own way.
It is presented in a beautiful MANUFAKTUR South Seas Blue Magno with a black interior, has a metallic gray base, medium smoke tint window, opens front doors, and rolls on Matchbox Performance Wheels. The die-cast collectible will arrive in one-of-a-kind packaging with textured paper and a base that attaches to the lid for a unique home display for car enthusiasts and collectors to enjoy.
