feeling nostalgic? we are pretty sure the 1925 Hacker-Craft 26′ Triple Cockpit Runabout “Dolphin” will transport you back in time, to the golden era of runabout boats and it could be yours to own at the upcoming auction event organized by RM Auctions at the Hershey Lodge, Hershey, Pennsylvania from the October 11 to 12, 2012. expected to fetch between $150,000 to $200,000, the 1925 Hacker-Craft 26′ Triple Cockpit Runabout “Dolphin” is among the first production boats from Hacker Boat Company. fitted with the original 5.4-liter (331 cubic inches) Scripps F-6 Junior Gold Cup six-cylinder engine that pumps out a good 127 horses (94 kW), this beautiful watercraft features keel-up restoration back in 1999 that include an extensive wood replacement, an aft cockpit complete with diminutive wicker chairs, a contrasting green leather interior, and the signature V-hull design pioneered by Hacker Boat Company’s founder, John Ludwig Hacker. pardon us for our excitement over this boat, as the combination of chrome, touches of green and real wood panels really tickles our senses and despite our lack of affinity with water, this could very well be the dream watercraft of ours. no kidding. check out a few more images of this beauty after the break.
