do not confuse the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R Superbike with the lesser 1199 Panigale. this is the newest superbike from Bologna bike maker that’s bred for the race track and fit for any everyday roads. powered by 1,198cc (1.2-liter) liquid-cooled L-twin cylinder engine that makes 195 horsepower (143 kW) with 132 Nm (98.1 lb-ft) of torque, this two-wheel beast is made for speed. on the performance and handling department, expect to find drool worthy features including electronic fuel injection system with twin injectors per cylinder, full ride-by-wire elliptical throttle bodies, a 2-1-2 exhaust system coupled with aluminum sleeve-clad twin stainless steel mufflers, a 6-speed gearbox, a monocoque aluminum frame, fully adjustable Ohlins suspensions, 17-inch 3-spoke forged light alloy wheels (3.5″ front; 6″ rear) shod in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires and wraps up with dual semi-floating discs with Brembo Monobloc calipers upfront and single disc 2-pod caliper back rear – both with ABS, naturally, for the uncompromising stopping power. other highlights include digital instrumentation with TFT color display, a seat for two, titanium connecting rods, a slew of carbon fiber components including swingarm guard, heel guards, cover for conveyors et cetera and finally, a carbon fiber bodywork finished in a livery inspired by Ducati Corse completes this beast. we are not certain when it will be unleashed into the wild but at least, we know that it will wipe out US$29,995.00 of your hard-earned dough. check out a few more look and an official video after the break.
