herald the new era of American supercar with the 2014 Lucra L148 Supercar, a 500 horsepower lean, mean machine that is as elusive as the spec. fitted with a 4.7-liter GM LS7 V8 engine, the L148 is not just a supercar by power, but it is a one with a super price tag, which is a whopping $250,000 to be specific. sitting atop of its tubular chromoly steel chassis is an aerodynamically tuned carbon-fiber body molded as a single piece, with cutouts and openings that caters to hood, trunk, doors, and everywhere else that would require an opening. it is essentially a unibody car with a choice of transmission being a 7-speed paddleshift gearbox sourced from Mercedes-Benz.

no performance figures were often, but with the first, the LC470, making a 0-60 mph dash in mere 2.5 seconds and championing the quarter mile in just 9.1 seconds, the 150 grand-pricer L148 supercar’s performance shouldn’t stray too far off, if not better. a few other known details include air-conditioning (the LC470 has none, surprised? so this is luxury as far as Lucra Cars is concerned), satellite radio, GPS navigation and reportedly, a windscreen and a roof. well, looks like this is as far as we know about this elusive ride, which according to Gizmag, is set to make headway into the U.S. roads sometime in mid-2014. check out a few more look after the break.
