ATV fanatics will surely welcome Honda’s 2015 update of the FourTrax Foreman Rubicon 4×4, which are offered in six, if not confusing, versions. it took us a while to digest the variety offered, but hey, who’s complaining? we rather have options than none. new to the 2015 models include new-gen MAXXIS tires boasting more aggressive tread pattern, new double-cradle steel frame with increased stiffness and torsional rigidity, new suspension setup with up to 7.3 inches travel up front and 8.5 inches of travel at the rear, dual-purpose Reverse/parking brake lever, increased load capacity on all-steel front and rear carriers (up to 99 lbs and 187 lbs, respectively), thicker seat that’s softer and sport-grip-textured, revised independent 50W auxiliary light, a new electronic digital meter display with Maintenance Minder system, and an new aggressive and bold styling.
the 2015 models are powered by a longitudinally-mounted 475cc liquid-cooled, PGM-FI OHV single cylinder four-stroke engine and depending on the model selected, is paired with either a 5-speed plus reverse gearbox or a five-speed DCT transmission with reverse, while stopping power comes from dual hydraulic brakes across the board. the 2015 models also gets direct front and rear driveshafts with TraxLok and locking front differential. the six models offered include the Foreman Rubicon 4×4, Foreman Rubicon 4×4 EPS (Electric Power Steering), Foreman Rubicon 4×4 EPS Deluxe, Foreman Rubicon 4×4 DCT, Foreman Rubicon 4×4 DCT EPS, and finally, the Foreman Rubicon 4×4 DC EPS Deluxe. as for pricing and availability, words are not out yet. keep going for a video that runs down the key tech features of the new 2015 Honda FourTrax Foreman Rubicon 4×4.
