2021 Fiat 500 Electric Vehicle

Almost every fossil fuel car makers are betting on an electric future. Fiat is no exception… Except, instead of pushing an electric variant of a familiar model, it has rolled out an iconic model as an electric-only model.

And the vehicle of choice. Fiat 500, obviously. The third generation of Fiat 500 (and second since its reintroduction to the market in 2007) is electric-only and the first fully electric car from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).

That’s a bold move. But one that Fiat’s President, Oliver Francois, is confident with.

Folks. Meet the 2021 Fiat 500. It is powered by a 117 horsepower electric motor and outfitted with a battery system that offers up to 199 miles (320 kilometers) in the WLTP cycle, with 85 kW fast charge as standard.

Fiat 500 EV also stands out has the first city car with level 2 autonomous driving, which means the car can automatically accelerate and brake in response to cars, cyclists and pedestrians and maintain the car at the center of the lane.

As a nod to its heritage, the new 500 will be produced at Mirafiori plant in Turin.

Finally, 2021 Fiat 500 Electric Vehicle is the first four-seater convertible with zero tailpipe emissions.
