Kicking of this year’s LAVIE lineup at CES 2021 is a new LAVIE Pro Mobile designed with on-the-go professionals in mind.

The 13.3-inch screen laptop is powered by the 11th-gen Intel Core i7 processor and boasts an LED backlit IPS FHD display (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), LPDDR4x memory, and SSD M.2 2280 PCIe storage.

Strangely, while it is outfitted with a keyboard designed exclusively for market outside of Japan, the keyboard isn’t backlit. Beyond that, the LAVIE Pro Mobile is considered feature-rich.

Other highlights include integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics, IR camera, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, Intel High Definition Audio, Yamaha Audio Engine, 2W + 2W stereo speakers, and a generous amount of I/Os, including 2 USB 2.1 Type-C Gen 2 (include a PD 3.0 and display port), a USB-A port, HDMI 2.0b, headphone/microphone combo hack, and microSD slot.

Rounding up the package is an integrated 49 wH battery good for to 10 hours of use in between charges. And did we mention that it is ridiculously light at just 889g (1.95 lbs)? The LAVIE Pro Mobile has a starting price of US$1,699.99. However, exact availability is not clear.

The next LAVIE device is the LAVIE MINI. Billed as “every PC gamer’s dream,” the LAVIE MINI is an 8-inch touch convertible UMPC powered by 11th-gen Intel Core i7 with Intel Iris Xe Graphics.

Weighing just 579g (1.28 lbs), the MINI’s spec-sheet details are no different from full-size laptop. It is just very small.
