2015 Apple 12-inch MacBook

Yesterday announcement of the much anticipated Apple Watch have overshadowed another awesome announcement and that was the all-new 12-inch MacBook. Yes. It is just ‘MacBook’ not ‘Air’, but even so, this new 12-incher is 24 percent thinner than the 11-inch MacBook Air. And the 13.1mm thickness, btw, refers to the thickest point. That, my friend, is quite an impressive feat. But how did the Cupertino folks did it? The ultra thinnest is thanks in part to the thinnest 12-inch Retina display to have come out of the Cupertino-based tech company and a super thin keyboard that is said to be 34 percent thinner. Aesthetically, Apple is finally breaking away from the lone brushed metal finish and introduces two new finishes, gold and space gray. Yep. Just like the firm’s small devices. Perhaps, all portable will take on this color scheme? Who knows?

As every new Mac, it will comes bundled with iMovie, GarageBand, iPhone, plus Apple’s office suite comprising of Pages, Numbers and Keynote.
