2024 Nissan Skyline NISMO Sports Sedan

The Nissan Skyline brand name is a legend and has always been associated with GT-R until R35 when Nissan decided to use a different platform not related to the Skyline. However, in Japan, the Skyline namesake lives on with the later versions being sold in the US as the Infiniti G35/G37. Not only the namesake is alive and kicking, but it is also getting NISMO models that will wear the Skyline GT badge.

The Nissan Skyline NISMO Grand Tourer [JP] is powered by a 3.0L VR-type V6 twin-turbo engine (VR30DDTT), exclusively tuned by the same engineers involved in the development of the GT500 racing class engine to produce 414 HP (vs 399 HP) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque (vs 475 Nm/350 lb-ft).

The engine offers smooth acceleration for everyday drive but when put into sport or sport+ modes, it utilizes the NISMO-dedicated AT shift schedule, allowing the engine to operate at higher RPMs for a sharper response.

The new Skyline NISMO features performance tires with 20 mm (0.79 inches) wider rear tires, NISMO-exclusive Enkei 19-inch aluminum wheels, specially tuned suspension and stabilizers to reduce roll when turning and maintain tracking, brake pads with outstanding fade-resistance properties, revised ABS to work with the tires and brake pads to shorten the braking distance, and specially tuned vehicle dynamics control system.
