If you have been following our blog, a Honda electric motorcycle should come as no surprise. Honda revealed a pair of futuristic-looking two-wheelers back at last year’s EICMA. Now, one of them has become a reality.
I know, right? It is an exciting time for eco-conscious, two-wheel enthusiasts now that Honda has officially joined the party. Folks, meet Honda’s first electric motorcycle, the Honda WN7, born out of the EV Fun Concept unveiled in November 2024.
The WN7 is positioned as a “Fun” electric naked model, aimed squarely at riders who want excitement without tailpipe guilt. Honda says it embodies over 75 years of motorcycle development while offering a smooth, quiet ride unique to EVs. Unlike commuter-first electrics we’ve seen before, the WN7 is built to thrill: performance rivals that of a 600cc ICE bike, while torque delivery hits like a 1000cc.
Powering this machine is a water-cooled motor available in two flavors: 18 kW for A2 licence holders and 11 kW for A1 licence holders. The bigger unit punches out up to 50 kW, producing a muscular 100 Nm (~74 lb-ft) of torque and a top speed north of 110 km/h (68 mph). That’s wrapped in a lightweight package with a kerb weight of just 217 kg (478 lbs).
As for range, Honda quotes more than 130 km (83 miles) on a charge. Topping up the fixed lithium-ion battery is refreshingly quick: less than 3 hours for a full charge at home, or just 30 minutes to go from 20% to 80% with a CCS2 quick charger.
Other highlights include a 5-inch TFT display with full Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, LED lighting front and rear, and a futuristic slim profile that looks every bit like the concept it came from.
Reservations are already open in the UK ahead of its November 4, 2025 launch, with prices starting at £12,999. Early birds even get a complimentary seat bag to sweeten the deal.
