Elextra 4-Seat 4-Door Electric Supercar

If you have been longing for a performance ride that looks and performs like a supercar, but without bearing the guilt of stifling this little blue marble of ours, well, then the Elextra 4-Seat 4-Door Electric Supercar may be what you have been looking. As far as look is concerned, we can’t help but to see a tint of Pagani and Lamborghini silhouette in Elextra’s first ride. Though aesthetically uncanny, it does differentiate itself from those exotic rides by going family-friendly. How so? Well, if you look closely, it actually has four doors and on the inside, it is a full-fledged four-seater. Also, it has got four-wheel drive too. Sweet. Love the shape and also love the fact that it allows me to carry more than one girlfriend at a time. Not that I have that many, but you know, just in case.

Anyways, the news is, this Swiss-designed, German-built beauty’s development is on track and if all goes to plan, a prototype should be completed by next spring, followed by a launch in 2019. So, yeah, there’s still quite a bit of a wait there but that’s probably a good thing because you will need time to pile up at least €400,000 (about US$445,230) to redeem one of the 100 units that will be produced. I realized we have not cover Elextra before and so, here’s a little essentials of this jaw-dropping performance car. For starter, it gets a carbon fiber tub, wrapped in a carbon fiber body which afford it to weigh almost 25 percent lesser over conventional aluminum constructions.

The combination of low weight and 680 horsepower offered by two high-performance electric motors, this steed readily rockets from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 2.3 seconds and sending it on its way to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). We are not sure what battery setup Elextra employs, but the company claims that it will have a range of up to 600 km (373 miles). As for the rest of details, Elextra promised to reveal more “during the course of the year.”
