Vauxhall Corsa-e Electric Vehicle

It looks like Peugeot isn’t the only one looking into “normalizing” electric cars. Months ahead of the France automaker’s e-208, British automaker Vauxhall already did with an all-electric Corsa which, you guessed it, looks exactly like the all-new fossil fuel-powered Corsa.

The Vauxhall Corsa-e is just a start; the Bedfordshire, England-headquartered automaker plans to have an electrified version of every model in its range by 2024. Like the e-208, this ain’t not Tesla. It is just a drive option when you are picking up a Corsa.

That said, do not expect super performance. Its electric drive produces an equivalent of 136 HP and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. The drive is in turn fed by a 50 kWh battery system that offers a modest 205 mile (330 kilometers) WLTP range and the battery can be charged to 80 percent in 30 minutes at rapid-charge station.

While it may not have monster power, this being an electric vehicle, it can still get to 62 mph (100 km/h) fairly quickly – in 8.1 seconds.

Vauxhall Corsa-e is outfitted with an onboard 11 kW charger, a bunch of cameras and radar-based assistance systems, a 10-inch color touchscreen and a host of safety features.
