2020 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster

0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph are numbers that don’t bode well with drop top super car, but here it is the spanking new topless, 2-seater Aston Martin Vantage, simply called Vantage Roadster.

The 2020 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster joins the marque’s most driver-focused model line with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 510 PS (503 HP) and turns out 685 Nm (505 lb-ft) of torque.

The obviously very eager engine is mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission to achieve the claimed 190 mph (306 km/h) top speed and a 0-60 (0-97 kph) sprint time of just 3.7 seconds.

Super quick and fast are not limited to the car performance, though; the car’s fully automatic automotive convertible roof, too, is quick and fast. The fabric hood boasts an ultra-compact mechanism that enables “sub-7 second.”

Thanks to the new, lighter Z-fold roof mechanism and optimized exterior and chassis revisions, the resulting Roadster is just 60 kilograms (132 lbs) heavier than its Coupe counterpart.

Expect the open top variant to have the same strong dynamic ability and sporting characteristic of the coupe. This means a bunch of handling tech, including Adaptive Damping, Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Torque Vectoring, Electronic Rear Differential, bespoke tuned rear dampers, and Adaptive Damping System software and ESP calibration.
