Lacoste x Polaroid 600 Instant Camera

Polaroid is not fashion, but it has something in common with a lot of fashion brand and that’s nostalgia. Perhaps, it is the nostalgia that has given birth to a unique collaboration between French sportswear brand Lacoste and the imaging company.

What makes this collaboration truly unique is, it is a two-way collaboration which includes a Lacoste-themed imaging hardware and a line of Polaroid-themed apparels. Furthermore, the collaboration also include commissioned photos of the fashion collection shot with Polaroid camera. Now, that’s a deep collaboration and one that’s very nostalgic.

As far as the camera goes, it is a Polaroid 600 instant film camera sporting a green and red colorway. What makes this hardware unique is it looks like Lacoste’s iconic crocodile logo when the cover/flash is popped open:

OK. Admitted it looks like in a cartoonish way, but that does not diminish its awesomeness in any way. As for the clothing line, it includes tops like t-shirts, polo, sweaters, hoodies and such, inspired by Polaroid’s iconic rainbow logo from its first instant color film from 1963.

The limited edition camera is currently listed on Lacoste’s French website for €150 (about US$178).

No words if it will arrive to North America. It probably would since Lacoste x Polaroid collection is being promoted on Lacoste Canada website as well as on the global website.
