If you haven’t already heard… Sony Pictures has recently dropped the official trailer for the third Venom movie, Venom: The Last Dance. Wait. What? “The Last Dance”? Is this the concluding installment? I don’t know. I never follow the rumors and news. Anyways, here’s the official synopsis:
“In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.”
Venom 3 was confirmed by Sony at CinemaCon 2022. While the second movie, Let There Be Carnage did not do as well as the first, it was considered a hit to warrant another sequel.
This latest movie is directed and written by Kelly Kelly Marcel based on a based on a story by Hardy and Marcel. The Venom: The Last Dance stars Tom Hardy, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach and Stephen Graham. No exact date has been announced for the film’s theatrical debut but it is set to happen sometime in October.
