Godzilla Minus One proved that good visual effects do not need to have a Hollywood budget. Not only that. The VFX team demonstrated that they are a fun bunch when they received the award with a Godzilla toy in hand and wearing the Godzilla Claw Heels shoes.
Speaking of the Claw Heels Shoes… the Matsuki Ryosuke-designed shoe featuring Godzilla’s claw for the heel is, believe it or not, available to buy. Made by ha | za | ma, these exclusive shoes worn by Godzilla Minus One director Takashi Yamazaki and team are available to overseas customers for the first time.
The unique footwear is available in a unisex “flat” model as seen worn by Takashi Yamazaki and his fellow male team members as well as a women’s style “heeled” variation as seen worn by the female colleague.
The ha | za | ma Heeled Dress Shoes in Black with gold claws and the ha | za | ma Heeled pumps in Black with gold claws as they are called feature a leather upper, and a PVC heel with alloy claw in gold finish.
The unisex model further rocks a matching gold zipper while the women’s heels have a gold buckle. Both models have the ha | za | ma branding integrated with the Godzilla Minus One logo in gold on the insole.
They do not come cheap, though. The men’s version commands a cool US$725 while the ladies’ variant goes for US$650. They are available for pre-order now in a variety of sizes with shipping slated to start in May 2025.
