Atari x Pac-Man Collection

Celebrating the long history of collaboration between Atari and Pac-Man creator Bandai Namco, Atari has released a special Pac-Man-themed console along with some irresistible bundles. For those who don’t know, 43 years ago in 1982, Atari brought Pac-Man to home consoles for the first time with Pac-Man for the Atari 2600.

Fast forward to 2025, and Atari is reliving that romance—this time in glorious yellow. Say hello to the Atari 2600+ Pac-Man Edition (US$169.99), a retro-futuristic console dipped in Pac-Man yellow, adorned with glowing character icons, and bundled with a 2-in-1 game cartridge: the all-new Pac-Man 7800 and the OG Pac-Man 2600. That’s right, nostalgia is now HDMI-compatible.

You also get a Pac-Man Edition CX-40+ Wireless Joystick—also in Pac-Man yellow, complete with an image of the Pac-Man on top of the joystick, and the iconic yellow Pac-Dots circling it on the black circle. In addition, Atari has launched four Ghost Edition wireless joysticks, paying homage to the colors of the four ghosts.

Bonus: each game includes a pin and a patch, so your jacket can join the retro party too.

Everything is compatible with the 2600+, 7800, and the CX40+ Joystick or CX78+ Gamepad. Pre-orders open July 23rd and ship in October 2025, which gives you just enough time to make space on your shelf—and maybe clear your calendar for some marathon munching.
