Fans of Masters of the Universe’s Skeletor will be thrilled to know that the blue-skinned sorcerer with a skull for a face didn’t just cross paths with a Cybertronian supervillain and New York City’s ruthless ninja warlord; he also stepped into the ThunderCats universe.
And if you ask me, Skeletor mashing up with Mumm-Ra couldn’t be more fitting—two sorcerers, one skull, and a whole lot of dark magic that Eternia and Third Earth probably can’t handle. The result is the Ever-Living Evil of Eternia: Skell-Ra.
The Masters of the Universe Origins x ThunderCats Skell-Ra Action Figure, as it is called, stands 5.5 inches (~14 cm) tall with 16 points of articulation, perfectly sized to menace both He-Man and Lion-O at once. He comes with two swappable heads (Mumm-Ra and Skell-Ra), a reversible cape that flips between sinister red and sinister purple, and a mix of Skeletor-style harness and Mumm-Ra-style armor.
The figure also comes armed with the double-ended Sword of Plun-Darr, which is exactly the kind of over-the-top weapon you’d expect when Skeletor and Mumm-Ra decide to share a closet.
To complete the crossover lore, the figure includes two character cards for Skeletor and Mumm-Ra that fit together like an evil jigsaw puzzle.
