If you collect Hasbro Transformers toys, you should have already seen this coming. I am talking about the recently announced Transformers Studio Series Transformers: The Last Knight Leader Class Nemesis Prime. Yup. Hasbro is really milking it. This so-called Nemesis Prime had no more than 15 minutes of screentime, but sure, it has to be made into a toy. Then again, why not when you can tweak an existing mold and sell more?
In any case, since the Transformers Studio Series Transformers: Age of Extinction Leader Class Optimus Prime had some good reviews—and this toy is based on that—it makes sense. The most obvious change to the AoE version is the paint job (or just colored plastics). It has significantly more blue, and it uses gray instead of silver. The head sculpt is based on Nemesis Prime’s appearance in the TLK (obviously, duh…), and it is rocking Quintessa’s mark. From the product images, the forearms appear to have some design tweaks as well.
Another key difference is the accessories. In addition to the sword and shield, this misled Prime also comes with a large blaster and an arm blade, just like in the movie. Similar to the previous figure, the alt mode is a Western Star 4900EX semi. However, this time, it takes 46 steps (versus 44) to convert it from bot to truck. Since it shares a similar mold, expect Nemesis Prime to carry the same baggage as AoE Optimus.
All told, Nemesis Prime here stands 21.5 cm (8.5 inches) tall. The Transformers Studio Series Transformers: The Last Knight Leader Class Nemesis Prime will hit shelves starting February 1, 2026, for US$59.99. For those counting, yes, it has a five-dollar price bump. Man, this inflation is going out of control. Surely, the extra accessories don’t justify this price increase, right?
