Switching out a finished toilet paper roll for a fresh one is no big deal, but if you envision the process being as smooth and quick as changing a pistol magazine, well, we found something for you. All you need is PattysLab’s Quick Change Toilet Paper Holder.
Instead of removing a spindle and performing the usual two-handed bathroom maintenance, push a fresh roll into the holder and let its pivoting arms do the rest. Reload complete. Bathroom operational. The latest design, which I believe was updated back in 2022, had a new design featuring compliant arms to prevent the roll from being accidentally knocked out.
PattysLab recommends using nylon for the compliant arms if possible. The arms are designed to be easily replaceable in the event they need replacing.
Cults 3D has a bunch of similar quick-change holders, so PattysLab is not alone in treating toilet paper replacement like a tactical exercise. You may need to pay for the STL files and, obviously, own or borrow a 3D printer. The future is here. It is holding toilet paper.
