Xbox Nano Controller (Game Controller)
Your Xbox isn’t going in your pocket, but its new controller might. The Xbox Nano keeps all 18 standard gameplay inputs in a smaller, lighter design, making it easier to bring your own controller to a friend’s place—or leave the console behind and play on another compatible device.

The Xbox Series X and Series S aren’t exactly portable, so a pocketable controller might seem like a solution looking for a problem. But never mind that, because here we are: the Xbox Nano Controller. Though with Bluetooth and gaming beyond the console, it does have somewhere to go.

Measuring a little over 5 inches (12.7 cm) long and weighing just 3.5 ounces (99 grams), it is Xbox’s smallest controller. Crucially, shrinking it hasn’t meant abandoning the familiar layout: all 18 standard gameplay inputs remain.

That makes it an option for younger players, smaller hands, or anyone who would rather their controller didn’t occupy half the bag. Visiting friends for local multiplayer also becomes a little easier. Bringing your own controller is considerably less demanding than bringing the console.

The Nano includes a rechargeable battery, Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, plus a programmable Action Button for screenshots, gameplay recording, and other shortcuts. Battery endurance hasn’t been specified in the announcement.

U.S. holiday offers with selected Samsung TVs and Meta Quest purchases will bundle the controller with two months of Game Pass Ultimate for new members.

The Xbox Nano Controller is available to pre-order for US$49.99, with availability beginning in November 2026 across selected markets.
