Ready to take a ride on Mikeshouts’ time machine again? Yes? Good. This news is also from last year. Why are we digging this mini gaming PC out from the depths of the digital dirt? It’s obvious. I mean, just look at the router-esque case of the ACEMAGIC M2A. Does it even look like a mini PC to you? No, it doesn’t. I thought it was a spaceship-inspired router. Not going to lie—I had to do a double-take before realizing it is, indeed, a mini PC. Very cool.
The sleekest part of this rig—at least aesthetically—is the customizable digital display up front, which shows real-time GPU and CPU temperatures, power consumption, and more. There’s another reason why this somewhat “outdated” gaming mini PC is making an appearance here today: it’s currently enjoying a deep discount—48% off. It was a ridiculously priced US$1,399, but now it’s going for US$730. Still not exactly cheap for an RTX 3060 rig, but hey, we should be comparing apples to apples—namely, its former price.
Obviously, buying a mini PC—or any hardware, for that matter—from a brand without local support comes with risks. But if you think you can handle them, this might be a good buy. Besides, even today, the RTX 30 series’ performance reputation holds up well against the RTX 50 series.
You have a choice of two CPU and GPU configurations: either the Intel i7-12700 with RTX 3060, or the i9-12900H with RTX 3070. Whichever you pick, you’re getting 32 GB of DDR5 RAM (16 GB x 2) and a 1 TB PCIe 3.0 M.2 2280 SSD.
ACEMAGIC has dubbed it the “world’s first AAA sci-fi games mini PC,” which it probably was. The discrete GPU is the laptop version, btw. There was an RTX 3080M with 16 GB GDDR6, but last I checked, it’s no longer listed.
