Fitness heads, are you aware that adidas sells adidas-branded headphones too? Yup, they sure do. The German sporting goods giant has partnered with Zound Industries, maker of speakers and headphones that is also behind big names like Marshall Headphones and Urbanears, to offer audio tech with adidas style and performance.
adidas Headphones has two wireless in-ear headphones (RPD-01 and FWD-01) and a pair of on-ear sport headphones, RPT-01. If we can be honest, they are just another offerings in the market. However, recently it had our attention – particularly the RPT-01.
Last week, adidas Headphones revealed a hyper limited-edition headphone drop, reimagined by celebrity stylist and adidas Run Club captain, Kwasi Kessie.
The adidas x Kwasi Kessie headphones are customized by hand and features a headband wrapped in premium blue and black leather snakeskin, gold plated “Never On Pause” chain and comes packaged in a black runner’s journal that boasts a secret stash safe inside.
While adidas x Kwasi Kessie Snakeskin RPT-01 Headphones is very real, it is not for sale. The only way to secure one of the 50 limited-edition headphones is by entering a sweepstake.
“Consumers can enter to win a pair of headphones using the adidas Running app and running Kwasi Kessie’s favorite route, looping through the streets of SoHo and the downtown waterfront through December 22nd, and sharing on social media. Winners will be selected at random.”
The sweepstakes begins at 12:01:00 AM EST on December 8, 2020 and ends on 11:59:59 PM EST on December 22, 2002. If anyone’s interested, you can find the sweepstakes’ Terms and Conditions HERE.
Meanwhile, for the uninitiated, the RPT-01 headphones is a pair of wireless on-ear headphones that features Bluetooth 5.0, IPX4-rated construction, wireless charging and USB-C interface, and over 40 hours of playtime.
The list price of the RPT-01 is US$169, but last checked, adidas Headphones has slashed the price to US$99.99.
