Feeling a little nostalgic this Summer? How about having an Airbnb sleepover at the last Blockbuster in Bend, Oregon, U.S.A.? This unique accommodation practically puts in a time machine and the destination year? 1990s, obviously. However, this offer is only extended to Deschutes County residents.
It’s the last Blockbuster on earth way of showing appreciation to the local community in Bend. So, anyone outside of that, seems to be out of luck. With the End of Summer Sleepover at The Last Blockbuster, guest will have the keys to the entire store:
“You’ll have the store to yourself from check-in to check-out, and it will be cleaned prior to your arrival in accordance to Airbnb’s Enhanced Cleaning Protocol which is informed by recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Plus we’ll provide you with a pack of face coverings, disinfectant wipes, and endless hand sanitizer!”
Expect to be greeted by the familiar layout of the iconic movie rental place, plus a recreation of a 1990s living room, along with all the snacks and, of course, movies. So, bring along your PJ and help yourself to the ‘new releases’ from the 90s.
Interested folks can make their reservation starting on August 17 at 1PM PT. You can book one of the three, one-night stays that will take place on September 9, September 19 and 20, for up to four people. Meanwhile, you learn more HERE.
