Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale First America Delivery
Only 33 examples of the modern Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale will ever exist. Two more have now found their owners, including a Texas-bound tribute to Enzo Ferrari and A.J. Foyt, and a one-off creation unveiled at Alfa Romeo's museum in Italy.

Back in 2023, Alfa Romeo did something delightfully old-school. Instead of announcing a limited-production supercar and hoping buyers would show up, it quietly sold all 33 examples of the new 33 Stradale before the public even got to see it. The car was officially unveiled in August 2023, but by then, every slot was already spoken for.

Fast forward to 2026, and two more examples of Alfa Romeo’s rolling sculpture have found their owners—one in Texas and one in Italy.

The first delivery marked the 33 Stradale’s arrival in American hands. The recipient was entrepreneur and motorsport enthusiast Glynn Bloomquist, whose relationship with Alfa Romeo runs deeper than simply having a healthy bank account. His collection already includes a 1958 Giulietta Spider Veloce once owned by Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal and a Giulia Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversary edition.

Naturally, his 33 Stradale was never going to be left stock. Finished in Rosso Villa d’Este, the car features a white stripe across the nose inspired by the Tipo 33 race cars of the 1960s. The number 14 appears on the doors and headrests as a tribute to both Enzo Ferrari and four-time Indy 500 winner A.J. Foyt. Most importantly, Bloomquist says the car will actually be driven on Texas roads and racetracks rather than spending its life under a dust cover.

Meanwhile, Alfa Romeo completed another milestone delivery at its own museum in Arese, Italy. This marked the first time a 33 Stradale has been handed over directly at the museum that houses the original 1967 33 Stradale, the very car that inspired the modern revival.

This particular example is noteworthy for its bespoke paint finish created through Alfa Romeo’s BOTTEGAFUORISERIE personalization program. Developed specifically for the owner, the custom four-layer paint blends classic Alfa Romeo reds with subtle golden pearlescent effects. Depending on the lighting, the color shifts from understated indoors to brilliantly vibrant under sunlight.

Built in collaboration with Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, the modern 33 Stradale remains one of the rarest new cars money can buy. With only 33 examples destined for the world and every one tailored to its owner, no two are quite the same.

Then again, when you are building only 33 cars, it would be a little disappointing if they all came out identical. Petrolheads can learn more about this beautiful ride in general here.

In its original form, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine producing over 620 horses, which enables it to wipe the century sprint in (0/100 km/h; 0-62 mph) in under 3 seconds, and a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph).
