Alpine Esports Series Second Edition Launched

Alpine Motors has just launched the Alpine Esports Series Second Edition. The championship is powered by the Binance Fan Token Platform, with US$100,000 in Alpine Fan Tokens up for grabs across the competition. In addition, competitors also stand a chance to win a driving experience in an Alpine GT4, a TRX simulator rig from Trak Racer, and BenQ Mobiuz EX3410R curved monitor.

The series will run on Assetto Corsa Competizione (that’s a sim racing video game, btw) and split across two phases, namely, the qualifiers and the Alpine Esports Series Championship. The qualifiers, which will run from April 7 to 17, will select the top 30 fastest drivers in the sim racing video game’s time-trial attack to participate in the second edition Alpine Esports Series. The fastest time-trial player will also instantly win US$1,500 worth of Alpine Fan Tokens.

As for the main event, i.e. the championship, it will consist of 6 races divided into three rounds from April to June, with Round 1 kicking off on April 28 (race 1 and 2), followed by Round 2 (race 3 and 4) on the May 12, and Round 3 (race 5 and 6) on June 23, 2022.

Interested drivers may sign up HERE to race in the qualifiers. There is a caveat though. The championship is only open to drivers in Europe and the U.K. The car of choice will be the same Alpine A110 GT4. Also, players will need to own their own copy of the Assetto Corsa Competizione (affiliated link) game with the GT4 pack DLC.

Details on the championship circuit and celebrities taking part are yet to be announced. The championship will be broadcasted on Alpine Twitch and YouTube channel, and on Binance Live.
