ANY LUV1 Electric Motorcycle
Packing a motorcycle usually means strapping on bags or bolting on a box. The ANY LUV1 builds 120 liters of cargo space into its frame, leaving room for your belongings and a passenger. Removable batteries and household-socket charging make its approach to everyday riding even more appealing.

Cruiser, roadster, sports bike, superbike… different styles, different riding experiences, but pretty much the same answer when you need to carry more than yourself: strap on some bags or bolt on a box. The ANY LUV1 takes a different approach. It puts a huge cargo compartment right into the motorcycle, making carrying stuff part of the design from the start. ANY calls it a Life Utility Vehicle, or LUV. I call it giving the motorcycle something useful to do beyond moving people.

ANY LUV1 Electric Motorcycle

If a car can be a utility vehicle, I cannot see why a motorcycle cannot, and mind you, there’s no towing involved. Thanks to it being electric, the space normally occupied by much of a combustion motorcycle’s mechanical hardware becomes available for storage. And it is a huge space! We are talking about 120 liters (around 31.7 US gallons) of cargo capacity on a motorcycle. This means packing for a road trip without dangling two large bags off the sides of the rear and/or installing an ugly-ass top box.

The Storage Is the Main Event

The LUV1’s cargo compartment sits low and centrally within the frame. It is lockable, measures 58 × 55 × 55 centimeters (22.8 × 21.7 × 21.7 inches) internally, and accommodates up to 50 kilograms (110 pounds) of cargo, in addition to two riders.

ANY offers closed, dog-friendly, and open cargo-cover arrangements. Its configurator adds removable trays, baskets, door bags, and a pet bag, letting you organize the space around groceries, work equipment, or weekend gear. There’s even an optional rain poncho integrated into the top lid. That’s some commitment to making a motorcycle useful on an ordinary Tuesday.

You can still specify side racks or a top case if you want. I suppose some people will always find more things to bring.

A Rear-Hub Motor Leaves Room for Your Stuff

An air-cooled rear-hub motor mounted on a single-sided arm supplies up to 11 kW, or approximately 14.8 horsepower, of peak power. The September specification sheet lists nominal output as 7 kW, with development targeting 11 kW.

Top speed is 100 km/h (62 mph), while 0–50 km/h (0–31 mph) takes a claimed 4.1 seconds. The LUV1 is aimed at the European L3e-A1 category, comparable to a 125 cc motorcycle. So, no, the superbike crowd won’t be losing sleep over its acceleration figures. Carrying the shopping home is a different competition.

Ride modes include Eco, Normal, Curb Assist, and Reverse. That last one could become your favorite when you have loaded the compartment and parked somewhere awkward.

Removable Batteries, Ordinary Socket

Two removable batteries provide a combined 6.5 kWh capacity at 72 V. ANY quotes a WMTC range of 100–140 kilometers (62–87 miles), with charging taking approximately 2.5–4 hours through an off-board charger connected to a standard 220 V household socket.

The batteries can charge in place or outside the motorcycle. Each weighs up to 15 kilograms (33 pounds), though, so taking them upstairs will require more effort than carrying your laptop charger.

The Rest of the Motorcycle Still Matters

The LUV1 uses a die-cast aluminum frame, an upright two-person seat, and a 786 mm (30.9-inch) seat height. Curb weight is listed at 160 kilograms (353 pounds), including the batteries.

Both ends wear 100/80-R16 tubeless tires and single disc brakes. Single-channel ABS is specified, with traction control optional. A digital LCD, full LED lighting, keyless starting, and a USB port cover the everyday conveniences.

There’s also an alarm, location support through an app, telematics, and over-the-air updates. The app is optional, and the motorcycle works offline. Having cargo space is useful; needing a phone connection to use your motorcycle would be rather less so.

Pricing and Availability

The ANY LUV1 is still in development, with first deliveries expected in Q4 2027. Prices start at €8,500 including VAT, approximately US$9,525, depending on configuration. For anyone who likes riding but dislikes choosing between bringing a passenger and bringing their belongings, it is an interesting proposition.
