Apple just dropped the Apple Watch Series 9, and it’s like they put a rocket on your wrist. It’s an exaggeration but you get the idea. This thing has the all-new S9 SiP which has a new 4-core Neural Engine, making it more powerful than a hyper-caffeinated cheetah on roller skates.
Plus, it’s got a magical double tap gesture, a display so bright it could replace the sun (just kidding. Obviously 2,000 nits will not be enough to replace the sun), and Siri’s faster and now plays doctor by tracking health data. And then there is Precision Finding for iPhone, and the new watchOS 10 brings new apps, a Smart Stack, stylish faces, and mental health tools.
It’s the watch that’ll make your friends say, “What time is it? Who cares, I need one! Or maybe not? I mean battery may stop you cos a measly 18-hour is definitely not for everyone.
Also announced is the new Apple Watch SE which offers the core Apple Watch experience at a more affordable price point. Clearly, affordable is pretty subjective but if you want one and don’t want to shell out 400 bucks for an Apple Watch, SE is the way to go.
It offers Activity tracking, high, and low heart rate notifications, Fall Detection, Emergency SOS, Crash detection, and of course, the goodness of watchOS 10.
The Apple Watch Series 9 is offered in a choice of 41 mm and 45 mm in starlight, midnight, silver, (PRODUCT)RED, and a new pink aluminum case, as well as stainless steel in gold, silver, and graphite cases.
The new Apple Watch lineup can be ordered now, with availability starting September 22. Prices start at US$399. The Apple Watch SE comes in 40 mm and 44 mm aluminum cases and starts at US$249.
