This one’s a blast from the past—or June 17, 2019, to be exact. It may be old news, but man, it’s too cool not to bring up. Folks, this is a skatepark diorama by an artist, Jaffa Saba, who “makes anything sometimes” (which checks out, judging by the number of posts they have on their IG page). But it ain’t a concrete object, which would’ve been equally cool. Instead, before it took up the job as a skatepark diorama, it was, believe it or not, an ashtray.
The tiny skatepark is complete with the requisite bowl, graffiti, an unusually tall park lamp, and a staircase with a handrail—because where else are fingerboarders going to pull off an epic rail grind, right? You may check out Jaffa Saba’s works HERE.
