Aston Martin Vanquish Super Sports Car

Last week Aston Martin revealed the return of an icon, the Aston Martin Vanquish. Along with the big reveal in Venice, Italy on September 02 is a super lengthy official press release with over 5,000 words. If the grand event to reveal the sports car wasn’t a show of how important this model is to the marque, then the press release should reinforced the notion. Anyhoo, it was a quiet read. Phew! That said, there is no way to tell about this delightful ride without going on forever and not skipping any cool bits. But we try our best to. So here goes…

Aston Martin’s latest Vanquish is what happens when you mix British elegance with a need for speed. It’s longer, sleeker, and definitely more dramatic. Apparently, stretching the wheelbase by 80 mm (3.15 inches) was just the trick to make it look even more indulgent. With a broad stance and a hood that screams “Hey, look at me!” the new Vanquish oozes contemporary style while still nodding to its motorsport DNA.

Those Formula One-inspired thermos louvers on the sculpted hood aren’t just for show—they keep the V12 cool as it quietly plots how to launch you into the horizon. Speaking of the motor… yes it is a gas-guzzling V12 twin-turbo producing a sweet 835 PS (824 horsepower) and 1,000 Nm (748 lb-ft) of torque. The power plant affords the new Vanquish a top speed of 214 mph (344 km/h)—the highest ever on an Aston Martin series production car.

The Kamm Tail at the rear isn’t just a clever way to reduce drag; it’s also the car’s way of saying, “I know I look fast standing still.” The new Aston Martin Vanquish further boasts Bilstein DTX dampers, Electronic Rear Differential (e-diff), and AML-specific 21-inch Pirelli P ZERO tires.

And then there’s the Matrix LED headlights with a fancy new light signature and Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) give it the gaze of a car that knows it’s important. As for the Panoramic glass roof, it’s not there for stargazing but to let you enjoy the journey with as little sunburn as possible.

Inside, Aston Martin kept things focused. This is a two-seat experience—no room for backseat drivers, literally. The center console has been lowered to make everything feel more open and luxurious. Touchscreens? Yes, but not so many that you forget you’re driving.

There are still actual buttons and dials for things like gear selection, drive mode, and exhaust control. And the rotary dial in the center of the console adds a touch of old-school cool to all that new tech. The sound system, courtesy of Bowers & Wilkins, ensures your road trip playlist has never sounded better, with 15 speakers doing all the heavy lifting.

Of course, there’s more to the new Aston Martin Vanquish than just good looks and a well-designed interior. The car comes equipped with Aston Martin’s next-generation infotainment system, complete with online connectivity and a mobile app that’ll let you boss your car around remotely. You can track it, lock it, or even check the traffic before you leave the house.

The built-in navigation system also helps you avoid those unnecessary detours through the middle of nowhere, complete with 3D mapping and real-time traffic updates. And for those who like their apps, the car supports Apple CarPlay, so you can keep using your phone’s navigation if you trust that more.

Aston Martin wouldn’t let you drive off in their latest model without offering a little customization. You can pick from various exterior finishes, including a floating carbon fiber panel on the rear. There’s also a Titanium exhaust option if you want the V12 to sound even louder while shedding some weight. But whether you go with stainless steel or Titanium, rest assured the Vanquish will still deliver its signature howl.

Aston Martin has paid attention to every detail. The flush-fit door handles don’t just look slick—they deploy at the touch of a button or when you unlock the car with the remote. Frameless door mirrors? They’re smaller, sleeker, and somehow still provide better visibility.

Inside, the design team added an illuminated glass engine start/stop button, which sits in the center console like it knows it’s in charge. If you opt for the carbon roof, even the quilting pattern on the headlining mimics the design on the rear parcel shelf. It’s a bit like tailoring but for leather seats.

Aston Martin’s latest Vanquish knows how to make an entrance. And thanks to its new features, it makes sure you do, too. Available in limited numbers, so if you’re in the market for a flagship V12 that doubles as a design statement, this is the one. As for the price… it is not made known to us but I am guessing if you are considering buying one, money is probably no object. So just fire away.
