Here’s an unlikely but very pleasant collaboration that will put a smile on scooter-riding, chocolate lovers. What you see here is the result of a collaboration between chocolate confectionary brand Perugina, most notable for its Baci brand of chocolate, and Italian scooter maker Piaggio. That’s right. That right there is a chocolate-themed Piaggio. How sweet is that?
The Piaggio Liberty 150 Baci Perugina Scooter, as it is called, was a special edition model introduced earlier this year to commemorate the 100 years of Baci Perugina chocolates.
Some say that this makes the Piaggio Liberty 150 Baci Perugina Scooter a romantic scooter. I beg to differ. It makes the Piaggio Liberty 150 Baci Perugina Scooter a really, really delicious two-wheeler.
This very unique scooter, scooter received a dark metallic blue paint job with a smattering of tiny silver stars decorating the front shield and side panels. As a finishing touch, the famous Baci logo adorns the shield.
The touches are subtle yet obvious. Any chocolate enthusiast will be able to tell immediately that it is the world-renowned Baci Perugina chocolate.
Meanwhile, the leather seat is in a rich brown that perfectly captures the chocolatey coating of the Luisa Original Dark, which is the eternal Perugina symbol that inspired this delectable work of art. This is one chocolaty ride that needs no unwrapping!
The Baci Perugina scooter is supplied with a helmet in a choice of two beguiling colors inspired by the classic foil that wraps every Baci chocolate: silver and blue. The silver helmet is decorated with tiny blue stars while the blue version features stars in silver. Completing the Baci-inspired design on the helmet is the Baci Perugina logo.
Beyond the Baci Perugina styling, the Piaggio Liberty 150 Baci Perugina Scooter regular Liberty 150. This means it is powered by a 12.9 bhp single-cylinder 150cc i-get engine that conforms with Euro 5 standards, mated with a CVT.
The Piaggio Liberty 150 Baci Perugina Scooter is available stateside, subject to dealer stock, priced at US$2,599.
