When we saw the two Aston Martin 007 Edition sports cars, we thought wouldn’t it be nice that the Vantage, which was inspired by the V8 that appeared in The Living Daylights, actually look more like the 80s’ V8.

Well, as it turns out, Aston Martin do have a car that directly drew its design inspiration from the 70s and 80s V8 Vantage. It is called Aston Martin Victor. Unfortunately though, Aston Martin Victor is a one-off custom model.

Man, just look at the ride. That is true car porn right there. Don’t you wish it is a mass produced model?

Conceived by Q by Aston Martin, Victor is a retro-futuristic ride that looks at home in Cyberpunk 2077. Not only the look is retro-ish, the underpinning is somewhat of a blast from the past. It is adapted from the long forgotten One-77.

As far as design goes, I am totally swoon over by it – especially the tail end that resemble closely to the 80s V8 that we all so love. The muscular appearance and purposefully powerful stance are complemented by an angry 7.3L V12 motor massaged by Cosworth to result in up to 838 horses and 606 lb-ft of torque.

The awesomeness does not end at the engine; the beastly engine is actually mated to a six-speed manual gearbox with an actual three-pedal set up and not so-called “manual” with semi-auto paddle shifter. Now, that is a real sports car!

Some of the notables include a luxurious leather interior, anodized aluminum and polished titanium bits, inboard dampers and springs with six settings (that cam straight from a Vulcan), center-lock wheels, and stopping power granted by six-piston Brembo brakes with carbon ceramic rotors.
