Banksy’s graffiti artwork Flower Bomber is getting another vinyl figure treatment. This time, Japanese streetwear label BAPE has teamed up with Brandalism for an ABC CAMO version.
For those who haven’t been keeping tab on the art world, the Flower Bomber aka Love Is The Air artwork first appeared in 2003 on the West Bank Wall that separates Israel and Palestine.
The artwork depicts a masked man garbed in militant outfit and a hat throwing a bouquet of flowers. The large format stenciled graffiti is in black and white except for the flowers which are in colors. It is said the artwork is a powerful symbol for peace.
Anyways… back to the vinyl figure. The BAPE x Brandalism Banksy Flower Bomber Figure is 3D representation of the famous stenciled graffiti. The entire figure is covered in BAPE’s signature ABC CAMO, save for the flowers which are like the original work, in colors.
The vinyl figure stands around 14 inches (36 cm) and will sell for 75,000 yen (roughly US$726) when it becomes available on November 7, at A Bathing Ape stores, BAPE webstore, 3G Tokyo, and Medicom Toy Plus.
