If you haven’t already heard, Mitsubishi Motors UK is ending U.K. car sales this autumn. I know right. I was just as shocked. It is hard imagine the once prominent automaker that was the shiny star in rally races had to downsize its production.
Before Mitsubishi Motors UK goes out later this year, it has put up 14 of the marque’s classic and most iconic vehicles on the block, hosted by specialist platform, Auto Auction.
The fleet of 14 cars include some of the UK Mitshubishis from the 70s, from 4×4 vehicles like the Shogun and Outlander PHEV, to performance performance flagships including the Starion Turbo, the most powerful official Lancer Evolution ever produced, the FQ-44 MR and British Rally Championship-winning Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX rally car.
All these rides are currently going under the hammer without reserve. The auction, which started on the April 08, will run for the entire month of April, ending on April 30, 2021.
P.S.: We just realized something… throughout the 11 years we’ve been blogging, we never talked about Mitsubishi Motors. I am perplexed. The thing is, I recalled that we did. We talked about the last Lancer Evolution. But that article was nowhere to be found. Now I am beginning to suspect that some data was somehow lost when we last migrated to the new host. Ugh.
