Mario without his fraternal twin brother, Luigi, is just one half of Super Mario and hence, it is no surprise that LEGO will be eventually adding Luigi to its LEGO Mario interactive playset.
Obviously, this is, in part, spur on by the LEGO Mario’s popularity. And so, yeah, Luigi is joining his bro in LEGO. Actually, no. It should be “has joined” because, thanks to a listing on Amazon China, we now have a good look at the upcoming LEGO 71387 Super Mario Luigi Starter Course.
However, no description was offered with the listing. I have a feeling this is an accidental listing.
Anyhoo… from the product images posted, it looks like LEGO 71387 Super Mario Luigi Starter Course will include three other buildable characters, Boom Boom, Pink Yoshi, and Bone Groomba, and it will include some obstacles like rotating see-saw, Soda Jungle Biome and more.
It is, however, not clear if the playability is the same as the Mario set, or if the set will present any new features.
As per Amazon China’s listing, the LEGO 71387 Super Mario Luigi Starter Course will be available starting July 9, 2021, priced at 420.67 yuan, or around US$64 based on the current going rate.
