recreating historically significant time pieces and giving them 21st century material upgrades is an awesome thing, and frankly, is nothing new but doing it with class and style without removing its original flair is not something every watchmaker can claim to do. one such example of class meets style is the Bell & Ross Vintage WW1 ARGENTIUM. Bell & Ross retains the characteristics of the original Vintage WW1 that we saw last year with features such as dome glass in sapphire crystal for the authentic vintage look, hands and index finished in appliqué metal, manual winding movement, and soldered wire handles, and updated it with a smaller 41mm diameter case, and crafted it with a new oxidation-resistant alloy known as Argentium. Argentium Ingot the Argentium is a modern day alloy, a type of silver that has high tarnish resistance and bears natural luster which eliminates the need for plating. the advantage of Argentium is immediately obvious: it just make an already beautiful time piece even more alluring. other features include silver or ruthenium finish, 30 meters water resistance, a beautiful grey alligator strap, and pin-type buckle, also crafted from the lustrous Argentium. also available in the pocket watch (PW1) version. click through for a few more look.
