The word ‘cute’ is hardly applicable to knives, but the Blanka Pocket Cleaver Knife by JHO Knives is exactly that: cute. The cuteness is not immediately apparent until you realize that it is actually has a big blade form of a cleaver, but at a size that fits in the palm of your hand (it measures just 13 cm or about 5.12 inches). It is that small, which kind of qualifies it as a pocket knife. The only thing about this “pocket knife” is, it is fixed blade; not foldable or retractable, and it is a kitchen knife that is also capable of chopping branches and wood if the need arises.
What makes this cute little sharp object shines is, it is actually a hybrid of tanto and cleaver, so you’d get the best of both worlds in one handy package. If you intend to whip up a storm while camping, this is probably the go-to knife. Blanka features a full tang VG10 Japanese steel blade, a tanto tip that’s good for stabbing (don’t think sinister here, ya?), dual cutting edges, jimping for added grip, and an ergonomic glass-reinforced resin that promised control however you wish to cut. A full leather sheath, a lanyard hole and a steel paracord bead completes this functional versatile knife.
Blanka Pocket Cleaver Knife is available direct from JHO Knives’ website, priced at $205 a pop. However, at the time of writing, it appears to be sold out. Bummer.
