Blitzway 1/6 Back to the Future 2 ‘Time Machine’

Who doesn’t want a DeLorean time machine—with a copy of Sports Almanac—to go back in time and be rich enough to buy a 1/6 scale model of the time machine? Actually, if time travel existed, be it a hot tub or a DeLorean DMC-12, the last thing on your mind would be a model car. You’d probably be richer than Elon Musk.

Anyway, we’re not here to debate the time-space continuum or whether or not it is ethical. We’re here because collectible maker Blitzway is releasing another 1/6th scale DeLorean Time Machine—the flying version—from Back to the Future Part II. And let’s just say, it’s giving Hot Toys a serious run for their money. The level of detail in Blitzway’s version makes Hot Toys’ attempt look like a child’s toy.

This beast measures 742 mm (29.2 inches) long, 350 mm (13.8 inches) wide, and 360 mm (14.2 inches) tall, and it isn’t just for display. The gullwing doors and windows open with magnet sensors, the steering wheel moves the front wheels, and the brake pedal activates the rear lights. There’s even an engine startup sound and turn signal LEDs. The pièce de résistance? The wheels automatically tilt for hover mode when placed on the included magnetized base.

It comes with goodies like a hoverboard, Biff’s cane, and even a beer can. Just don’t expect a working flux capacitor. The Blitzway 1/6 Back to the Future 2 ‘Time Machine’ will cost you 999 USD, which, let’s be honest, is still cheaper than an actual DeLorean. Estimated to ship in Q4 2025, it’s the closest thing to owning a piece of Hill Valley history—minus the time travel.
